Howdy, all. Wanted to pop in quick and let you know why there hasn't been an update here in so long.
My site is in the midst of a complete tear-down and re-design. so I've held off on posting here while that's gone on. I'm hoping to have the new site (which will still be at this address) up before long so that you have something bright and shiny to peruse while you shop for back-to-school arrangements, festive holiday charts, and the like.
As part of this transition, I'm going to be MUCH more active on the Random Notes Facebook page, as it's much easier for me to do quick updates there all the time than the gargantuan ones I've been doing here with decreasing frequency. Please head on over there, "Like" the page, and whatever else one does with that sort of thing. Follow me on Twitter too, if you're so inclined.
I've been as busy as ever since my last update, forever ago - orchestrating an off-Broadway musical that opened at the Beckett Theatre in NYC, teaching and Bond-ing (and briefly rejoining my ex-band Ball in the House onstage) at BOSS, cheering on the various Random Notes clients that competed at ICHSA/ICCA Finals, teaching and garbage-plate-ing at Next Level, returning to the stage as a member of new a cappella supergroup Overdrive, still more teaching at VoCALnation, serving on the board of directors for the Contemporary A Cappella Society, watching the Twins continue to ignore the importance of a competitive starting rotation, and, of course, the usual giant truckload of a cappella arranging, including new pieces for heavy hitters like Cluster (swoon!) and Transit, a YouTube video with over nine million views so far, and a song featuring a happy-dance-inducing guest spot from one of the most brilliant hip-hop artists around, Watsky.
Keep watching this space in the coming weeks for the brand new site, as well as for some great new deals & discounts, an all-new Most Wanted list, and more. Thanks for your patience during the renovations. :)
"Fun mixes that don't need a lot of extra ear candy .... Arrangements that practically mix themselves .... Definitely not the typical cookie-cutter fare so prevalent in today's a cappella."
